Paterson (Adam Driver) is a bus car owner in a city that stocks his name, Paterson, New Jersey, in Jim Jarmusch’s appropriately named future film Paterson. Seems right at home with the humble, controlled style of film making seen in Jarmusch movies like Broken Flowers, as we see Paterson go about his everyday schedule, monitoring travelers and writing philosophical poems in his laptop.
The film co-stars Iranian celebrity Golshifteh Farahani as Paterson’s spouse, Laura, and Nellie, an British bulldog, as Paterson’s British bulldog, Marvin. At the Cannes Film Event, the film obtained talk opinions and was chosen to contend for the Hand d’Or—Nellie, who passed away a few months ago, was even granted the famous Hand Dog for excellent dog efficiency.
Paterson releases on Dec. 28.
